Canon Point: Post-canon ( episode 12 )
Character Age: Roughly 150 years old ( doesn't he look young for his age? he moisturizes )
CRAU: Nope
Character Appearance: psycho / still psycho but Surprised ( β„’ ) / I swear it won't all be shitposts from here on out
Powers and Abilities: Lord have mercy on me here we go because there is so much less to go on with what we've seen of Stampede than the OG Trigun.
β†’ On the whole, Plants are human-adjacent-looking things that are contained in pods and used for their energy to create things like water, just about any sort of power you could think of and as such have a tendency to be pushed beyond their boundaries, their limitations and sent to an early death in a way referred to as a Last Run; they use a single remaining surge of energy and the flame of their life is snuffed out.
β†’ Plants live an insanely long time, as said by Zazie the Beast near the end of the series a century is pretty much just a blink for them. Must be super nice to be over a hundred years old and still look like you're fresh out of college.
β†’ They're possessed of abilities within the realm of inhuman strength, dexterity and intelligence, as well as healing capabilities without the aid of things like … well, first aid. Slap a bandaid on it? Styptic to stop the bleeding? Nah, just wait a little bit and it'll all be okay.
β†’ They also don't need to eat, drink or sleep. Except for Vash. Suck it, Vash.
β†’ They also have things known as 'gates', which is seen in a flashback episode when Knives cuts off his own brother's arm in order to keep it from sucking everything around him into it; it's like a damned black hole, for lack of better phrasing, and also the source of a Plant's power.
β†’ Vash and Knives are known as Independents, and being an Independent means he also has the gift of free will, of being able to make his own choices and follow his own path and not live so confined as an effective conduit for humanity. Someone really should have stopped him somewhere along the way and told him to make better life choices.
β†’ On top of all this comes the explanation behind this asshole's chosen moniker; he's able to summon tentacle-like appendages edged with leaf-looking sharp edges that can defend him as easily as they can destroy, and it was seen when he was much younger ( in aforementioned flashback, cutting off Vash's arm, yadda yadda ) that he can summon claw-like knives to cover the backs of his hands. Complete with extra eyeballs. You're welcome for that nightmare fuel. )

What Did Your Character Wish For? A paradise full of plants for him and his brother.
What Potion Did They Receive? Blue
Did They Drink It? Yep!

Character Questions:
1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most?
His brother, Vash. Hands down, no question, nothing and no one could ever compare to him in any way, even if they tried. It goes beyond the simple bond between twins, I think, because he's borderline obsessed with him and making him see that his own obsession with humanity and proving that they're more than useless parasites means that he would make use of any means necessary to get him to see his point … but he loves him, he loves him with everything in him. It's just that no one ever said love was all good and not … toxic.

2. What are they most afraid of?
He would say he isn't afraid of anything, because the only thing he has to go up against is humanity, and they're all a bunch of useless weaklings; nothing in their hearts, no souls, they're willing to use the lives of others for their own benefit and they deserve the kind of punishment they have waiting for them once they destroy yet another planet.

In reality he is the tiniest bit afraid to know what his brother really thinks of him, because of everything he's done for the sake of the plants and creating their paradise. Vash is all he's had for the last century and some change, and he would do anything for him β€” literally anything β€” and not exactly in the healthiest ways.

3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically?
Physically, as a fully Independent Plant he doesn't really have a physical weakness β€” he's essentially invulnerable, using his myriad knives as both defense against anything that would harm him and offense to inflict that hurt on anyone that would think to try β€” but emotionally, mentally, though he's reticent to admit it, it's his brother. It's always going to be Vash, whether he chooses to admit it to himself or anyone else and if anything ever happened to him ( that he didn't do himself … obviously … ahem ) he would bring the world down around everyone's ears.

4. What would make them happiest?
Finally being able to create his paradise for his brother and all other Plants; this probably includes eviscerating all human life, but hey, what's a few pesky human lives in the larger scheme of things? It's been said elsewhere that a human life is nothing but a speck to Plants like himself and Vash, not even just Independents but all Plants as a whole. He just … wants to create a world where they can live together, and be happy, and be safe from all those who would use them for their own devices. Those who wouldn't think twice about using their energy until they reached their end far sooner than they were ever meant to.

5. What’s their type for a lover?
If you don't think this man is going to come into this a clueless virgin. He would personally not know how to answer this question if posed to him directly, but β€” ideally someone that can deal with how much of a menace he can be, even on the days when he's behaving; someone with a steady hand and a whole hell of a lot of patience, and perhaps someone that doesn't mind easing him into literally everything. When you're over a century old and the only one to have ever touched you with any kind of tenderness is someone you call family … there's not a lot to be said of experience. Or understanding that such a thing can exist in the first place.

( Except that there is One Other Singular Person in his entire existence to treat him with kindness and he kind of got her killed. Whoopsiedoodle. )
